Below are some frequently asked questions and answers. We can also cover any questions you may have on our initial consultation call or , if your question isn’t answered below, contact me directly.

  • I suggest booking a consultation session prior to booking your first 60 minute or 90 minute counselling session. During this time, I will introduce myself and talk about the types of counselling I offer. This is also a great time for you to get to know me, to see if I am a good fit for you and to ask any questions you may have.

  • I am open to any and all questions. Some examples could be:

    • What is your experience working with (specific issue, opportunity or goal)?

    • Do you assign homework?

  • A counselling session is either one hour or one and a half hours in length and is tailored to the clients needs or goals. The type of specific counselling used depends on the topic brought forward by the client.

  • Currently counselling sessions are offered online as well as in-person. The office is located at 1548 Johnston Road in White Rock. BC.

  • The session fees are:

    Free – 30 minute initial consultation

    $145 – 60 minute session

    $195 – 90 minute session

    $180 - 75 minute Couples Session

    *Alternative rates (sliding scale) are available and can be discussed if you have any concerns about the fee rate. View more info on my Services page.

  • The list of employers and insurance companies that cover counselling is growing. Each insurance policy is different and your plan may or may not cover counselling sessions.

    I currently am not able to offer direct billing but will give you a receipt that can be used for reimbursement.

  • I received my education through Rhodes Wellness College in Vancouver, BC. I have also completed further training in CBT, Couples Counselling, Emotionally Focused Therapy and somatic therapy and am a Certified Trauma Professional.

  • Somatic Therapy is a body-based approach to addressing mental, emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing. It is a holistic therapy.

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy aims to help identify & change patterns that may be keeping you stuck in painful emotions. It also helps to build trust in the wisdom of your emotional world and learn how interact differently with your emotions. EFT is used in both individual and couples sessions.
